Faisalabad used to be called Lyallpur, and plenty of the older crowd here still slip and call it that out of habit. It's the textile city — if you've ever checked a "Made in Pakistan" label on a shirt, there's a fair chance the fabric came off a power loom somewhere in this district. That work-first attitude carries into how people talk here too: fairly direct, not much patience for drama, quick to call out nonsense. Join the room to chat with people from Ghanta Ghar, Jaranwala Road, D-Ground, or wherever else in the city, plus a lot of Punjabi speakers from nearby towns who drop in because there isn't always a dedicated room for their own area.
